Become the Dean of Nursing at the local college, Director of Nursing or Chief Hospital Educator at Cornelia Goth Memorial Hospital, or become and Independent Nurse Practitioner! Each track ends at a total of 9 levels.

Level 1: Patient Care Assistant I
Description:
Get some good shoes and hope your sense of smell goes away! You’ve never worked in healthcare before, but you’re ready to start as an aide and help out while earning some money. If you like it, maybe you’ll enroll in the next STNA classes and move up the ladder.

Level 2: Patient Care Assistant II
Description:
You’ve become a State Tested Nursing Aide and been promoted to PCA II. You know how to take vitals and which ones need to be reported promptly to your nurses. Your patients and nurses rely on you and you’re a vital and appreciated part of the team! Remember your proper body mechanics when you’re helping patients to the bathroom or pulling them up in bed!

Level 3: Licensed Practical Nurse
Description:
You got your feet wet with STNA school and went back to get your Practical Nurse license. Congratulations–you’re a nurse now! You still help people to the bathroom and clean up messes, but now you get to give medications too. Your responsibilities have increased, so it helps that the pay has too. Just remember now that you’re a nurse how important your aides are!

Level 4: Registered Nurse
Description:
You finished your school program and now you’re an RN. You know how to keep up to date on best practice and do your best to implement it in your care every day you work. Now that you’ve finished with school, you keep up to date and take classes for your C.E. credits as well as for fun. You know knowledgeable, compassionate care is the way to go.

Level 5: Charge Nurse
Description:
When someone has questions or concerns, they come to you. Your coworkers know that you know your stuff and your manager trusts you to make things run smoothly during your shift. You may have to make hard calls, especially with staffing, but you do your best to make sure your patients and coworkers have the best days they can have.

Track: Manager
Maybe you always knew you were destined for management or maybe you want to be a nurse in a different capacity. Either way, management seems like the path for you. This way, you can work your way up to Director of Nursing and support your fellow nurses at C.G. the best you can! (4 levels)
Level 1: Unit Clinical Coordinator
Description:
While you still perform Charge Nurse duties, you’ve got some extras on your plate now. Your manager trusts you and so you’ve picked up a bigger title and all the fun that comes with it. You’ve proven your excellence as a floor nurse and you’re hoping being a unit coordinator will keep you moving towards management.

Level 2: Nurse Supervisor
Description:
You’re the go-to person in the hospital for all your shift’s needs! You know the ins-and-outs of the hospital, nursing practice, and best policy. It’s your job to check up on everyone and make sure the patients are getting the best care they can. You know Cornelia Goth is the best hospital around, so you make sure to round often and thoroughly to support hospital staff so they can prove it!

Level 3: Nurse Manager
Description:
You’re in charge of your own units! Keep your units running smoothly and keep your staff happy while providing the best care they can. You want your patients to get better, but to always run back to Cornelia Goth Memorial if they get sick again. Implement the best policies for your staff to make this happen!

Level 4: Director of Nursing
Description:
You’re officially the Director of Nursing at C.G. Memorial! You control nursing practice in the hospital as well as intercede on behalf of your nurses. It’s a big job, but you know what you’re doing and you do it well. Keep the hospital running smoothly and enjoy your new kind of hectic!

Track: Hospital Based Education

Level 3: Unit Based Educator
Description:
You wanted a more formal role in education and now you’ve got it! You’re in charge of educating new staff on your unit–from PCAs to nurses to nurse managers (if yours quits). There’s a lot to juggle and part of you will miss the bedside contact, but you feel at ease. Hospital education is what you’re meant to do.

Level 4: Chief Hospital Educator
Description:
There’s nothing you love more than educating nurses and now that’s what you do everyday. Plus, you’ve got some serious say with the DoN now, so you get to help guide policy too. You do what you love everyday. Congratulations!

Description:
Ugh, classes. Part of moving forward with your career goals means you’re back to the classroom. Thankfully, they’ve got online classes for almost everything now so you can keep going in your education while still working. Study hard so you can make the right choices in your clinicals!

Track: University Educator
You love serving others but you love teaching too. What’s a nurse to do? Become an educator! Teach the next generation of nurses and improve the healthcare of the community by sharing your hard-earned wisdom. (4 levels)
Level 1: Clinical Preceptor
Description:
Your students have classes to teach them the book knowledge they need to know, but it’s your job to get them up to scratch on their technical skills and ensure they have a good bedside manner. You teach them the tricks and tips you’ve learned, just like your clinical preceptors taught you theirs. Hopefully, you’ll help form these students into great future colleagues!

Level 2: Professor
Description:
You’ve missed the classroom, but now you’re back! It’s hard to imagine how you could do even more, but if you keep working, then you’re sure you’ll find out.

Description:

Description:
